GENERAL SUMMARY The Product Support Specialist is the primary interface for customer quotation support to Sales Representatives. The PSE provides dedicated support to assigned Sales Rep. organizations. Support can be by telephone, email or eSales (Web based sales tools). Support can include mixing process design, mixer mechanical design, cost analysis and pricing for special options or custom mixer applications and designs. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
  • Provide first-line quotation support to Sales Representatives
  • Provide process design, mixer sizing and selection, and mechanical design guidance for custom mixing applications
  • Conduct detailed design and cost analysis, including vendor quotes for materials, for custom solutions
  • Respond to RFQ's from Sales Reps, with technical solutions, pricing, and lead time
  • Review, interpret and comment on customer technical specifications provided with RFQ's
  • Maintain quotation logs, schedules and performance measures using assigned tools Refer complex quotes to Applications Engineering group and/or Project Engineering group
  • Participate in Quote to Order reconciliation for assigned quotes / orders, resolving any discrepancies between what was quoted and what was ordered.
  • Utilize automated sales tools for performing and managing quote and order activities
  • Conduct occasional lab tests to develop custom mixing solutions for specific customer products
  • Maintain knowledge of Lightnin, PMSL, and Plenty products and processes and applications
  • Participate in overall CSST teamwork and recommend process and functional improvements
  • Interaction with Sales and Engineering organizations
  • Engage in constructive conflict resolution
  • Displays, and leads by example, the SPX Leadership standards
SKILLS •Ability to read, interpret and accurately respond to technical specifications related to mixer applications and mixer design •Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal personnel, Sales Rep's and customers •Solid knowledge of Lightnin product capabilities and limitations •Knowledge of industry engineering standards and Lightnin capabilities •Good oral and written communications skills; able to provide succinct and accurate technical communications •Strong computer skills (MS Office, SAP, other technical applications) •Knowledge of Lightnin CSST processes and operations/sales capabilities Good problem solving skills and ability to develop alternatives EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Associates degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering field from College or university; and minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The anticipated salary range is what we believe to be the likely base salary range for this position at the time of posting.
