Hazen and Sawyer is seeking candidates for a full-time Mid-Level Principal Structural Engineer.

Responsibilities: The engineer will work on design and construction administration for water and wastewater treatment projects. Responsibilities include producing design calculations, technical reports, permitting, detailed design and engineering plans, and specifications for Water / Wastewater projects such as plant upgrades, storage facilities, pipelines, stormwater systems, pump stations, and distribution/collection systems. The role also involves construction administration services, including submittal review, responding to RFI's, and clarifications during construction.

Qualifications: Candidates must be effective communicators and capable of working successfully in a multi-discipline team environment. Experience in the design and construction of structural steel, reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, and aluminum structures is required, along with knowledge of applicable building codes, design standards (including ACI and AISC), and structural analysis and design software. Strong structural analysis and design skills, with experience using structural design software, are essential.

Applicants should have experience with water and wastewater systems, including designing, preparing, reviewing, and approving project drawings and specifications.

Requirements: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, a BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Concentration from an ABET-accredited institution, and passing the PE exam.
