Come invent the future with us.About The RoleThe Package and Systems Group of Ampere is looking for a candidate to contribute to key technical areas. New product development approaches highlight the value that multifaceted engineers bring to the table.The ideal candidate will have experience spanning product design, development, bring-up, debug, and manufacturing, as well as having experience in working directly with customers. Equally important is a willingness and attitude to step in and contribute wherever the need may be.What You'll Achieve
- The candidate will feel comfortable working at a workstation or in the lab, participating in aspects of definition, design, simulation, validation, and characterization of Package and Systems Group deliverables, including packages, sockets, and thermal solutions
- Modeling and simulation, to support product and reference board design, as well as to support customer engagements
- Contribute to cross-functional activities of product bring-up, debug, characterization, and validation
- Provide feedback to improve Ampere products and development processes
About You
- Experience in designing and working with large body-size electronic packages
- Working knowledge and experience in simulation and lab measurement techniques
- Working knowledge of transmission line and electromagnetic theory related to signal integrity and power integrity
- Excellent knowledge of signal requirements for multi-bit busses, such as DDR5/4, and high-speed serial interfaces such as PCIe-gen5/4, SATA-gen3, and 10Gbps Ethernet
- A good working knowledge of electronic systems and high-speed serial and parallel interfaces
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Electrical or Computer Engineering - Bachelor's degree & 8 years of related experience; or Master's degree & 6 years; or PhD & 3 years
What We'll OfferAt Ampere we believe in taking care of our employees and providing a competitive total rewards package that includes base pay, bonus (i.e., variable pay tied to internal company goals), long-term incentive, and comprehensive benefits. The full base pay range for this role is between $140,500 and $234,500, except in the San Francisco Bay Area where the range is between $152,500 and $254,000.Our benefits include health, wellness, and financial programs that support employees through every stage of life, with full benefits eligibility at 20 hours per week.Benefit Highlights Include
