Title and Summary

Principal Architect - Product Operations and Enablement

Overview:

The Principal Architect - Product Operations and Enablement (POE) will lead the technical direction of the POE team to support next-generation platforms, architectures, and systems aimed at modernizing and improving the operations of the AI & Decision Product Enablement (AI & DPE) organization. The POE team defines the operational strategy for the AI & DPE platform, which provides business solutions to combat fraud and authenticate users, processing billions of transactions monthly. The role involves providing technical thought leadership and expertise for new platform operational capabilities.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver innovative end-to-end operational solutions, from conceptualization to application, for new initiatives.
  • Partner with business and technology teams to set technical strategy, roadmaps, and direction.
  • Innovate new approaches to meet business needs, reduce costs, and enhance agility.
  • Provide guidance to project technical leads and review designs.
  • Mentor technical individual contributors.
  • Estimate and plan new efforts.
  • About You:

    • Experience architecting large and complex systems from conceptual to application architecture.
    • Provide technical thought leadership across organizations.
    • Extensive experience with Java, Linux, Oracle, and virtualization technologies.
    • Experience with containerization technologies such as OpenShift and Kubernetes.
    • Experience with commercial CI/CD tools like digital.ai Deploy/Release, XL Release, IBM DevOps Deploy.
    • Knowledge of Agile development processes and architecture governance.
    • Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to manage multiple efforts and meet deadlines.
    • Experience with Chef automation, writing recipes/cookbooks.
    • Proficiency with Jenkins, Sonar, Maven, Artifactory for CI/CD pipelines.
    • Support for code deployments and automation across environments.
    • Design and implement Git-based code management strategies.
    • Engage in the entire service lifecycle, from design to operation.
    • Analyze ITSM activities, identify operational gaps, and improve system reliability.
    • Scale systems through automation, advocating for reliability and velocity improvements.
    • Lead DevOps automation, support CI/CD pipelines, and promote best practices.
    • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and cross-team collaboration.
    • Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
