The Phlebotomist Float Specialist is a crucial ambassador for our organization, providing compassionate care to patients who seek our services for routine health assessments or significant health decisions. As a skilled professional, you will draw high-quality blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing, adhering to best practices and established protocols.
In this role, you will engage directly with patients, fostering an environment of trust and understanding while effectively explaining procedures and conducting blood draws safely and accurately. Your responsibilities will include covering various locations and roles, ensuring that operational tasks at Patient Service Centers, Mobile Units, Long Term Care facilities, and in-Office Phlebotomy are completed diligently and punctually.
As a Phlebotomist Float Specialist, you will demonstrate strong leadership, prioritize process excellence, and maintain confidentiality while handling patient information. You may be assigned to lead teams on-site, mentoring and coaching new employees, and providing essential onboarding support. You will also be the key contact for staff at your location and will communicate regularly with the group lead or supervisor.
This position also involves collaborating with customers managing high-complexity practices, which requires exceptional phlebotomy skills along with strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities with various departments such as Sales, Laboratory Services, IT, Billing, and Logistics.
Successful candidates should be adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
As a floater, you will need to travel between different sites, ensuring punctuality at each location. A clean driving record is essential, and you can submit mileage for reimbursement.
