Job DescriptionResponsible for planning and ensuring the availability of necessary resources-such as staffing, materials, supplies, and equipment-to meet production and delivery schedules.
Provides leadership and direct supervision to six department leads across the machine shop, plating, machine building, lap plate manufacturing, inspection, and shipping/receiving departments.
Ensures strict adherence to Work Instructions and Quality Standards to maintain compliance with product specifications.
Drives Continuous Improvement initiatives focused on reducing manufacturing lead times, enhancing operational efficiency, and lowering costs.
Collaborates with the Purchasing department to manage supplier qualifications, maintain strong supplier relationships, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Develops and manages departmental budgets, and recommends new machinery and equipment upgrades to improve production capabilities and overall efficiency.
Ensures a safe work environment by enforcing compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Coordinates with the IT Manager to identify and implement software improvements that enhance operational performance.
Promotes employee development through effective supervision, coaching, and training.

The Successful ApplicantBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
At least 10 years of manufacturing experience, ideally within a mixed-model production environment
Minimum of 3 years in a managerial or leadership role
Proven experience manufacturing engineered products in a medium-volume, job shop setting
Demonstrated success in leading Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and instructions
Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with MRP/ERP systems
