Our direct client, a global American hospitality chain, is seeking to hire for the role of a Oracle Opera PMS Technical Engineer.

Job Title: Property Systems Technical Engineer - Oracle Opera PMS

Duration: 6 months plus (possible long term)

Location: 100% Remote

Pay rate: $75/HR - $80/HR W2

Must work 4 AM - 1 PM CST hours

Must be able to work REMOTE

Must be able to be on rotational On-Call on weekends

Opera PMSPurpose:

• The Property Systems Technical Engineer assumes responsibility in support or project engineering roles.
• Communicates with various teams to deliver tasks related to Property Systems implementation and operation, including incident management and ITIL best practices.
• Shares knowledge to improve the team's expertise.
• Self-driven, motivated, and quick learner in Property System and automation fields.

Team and Office Structure:

• Remote work with possible onsite visits up to 4 times a year.
• Reports to support or project managers.
• Approximately 40 hours/week, with occasional overtime and late-night hours as needed.

What is Opera:

• Web-based application vital to daily hotel operations, interfacing with multiple systems.
• Critical for core systems hosted worldwide.

Position Responsibilities:

Support new technologies, provide guidance, maintain communication channels, coordinate with vendors, oversee project tasks, and perform trend analysis and technical support.

Sample Projects:

• Upgrade Opera grids, set up new data centers, migrate servers, implement payment interfaces, test disaster recovery, and build test environments.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Preferred: Oracle Opera installation experience.
• 5+ years Windows Administrator experience.
• 1-2 years network, virtualization, scripting experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Oracle Opera Property Systems, database management, automation tools, monitoring tools, and related platforms.

Skills Needed:

• Experience with Oracle hospitality PMS, Opera installation, and troubleshooting.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to educate and mentor team members, work in multicultural environments, and hospitality experience preferred.

Education:

• Degree in Information Systems, Technology, or hospitality with technical background.
