Our client is an international energy company and theiroffshore Gulf of Mexico operations encompass the entire value chain of oil and gas exploration and production, with a focus on safety, environmental stewardship, and technological innovation.

They are seeking a Drilling Supervisor to support their team Offshore GOM

Location: Offshore GOM

Work Schedule: 14 x 14 Rotation

Duration: Aug 2025 – Jan 2026

OVERVIEW:

Client is currently undergoing a Well Operations campaignthat will support drilling and completion activities activity in Gulf of Mexico.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Drilling Supervisor will represent Client at the rig site to ensure drilling, completion, and well intervention programs are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with Client procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry standards (HSE, quality, cost control).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all wellsite operations, including drilling, completions, and workovers, directly representing Client's interests at the site
• Ensure strict adherence to Client policies, drilling manuals, HSE procedures, and approvals in all operations
• Coordinate logistics, materials, and personnel to avoid delays — prepare loadout lists, issue materials requisitions, maintain inventory and daily updates
• Monitor operations and wellsite data (drilling rates, mud system, rig performance), adjust operations as needed, and liaise with the Drilling Superintendent, service companies, and engineering support
• Lead daily operational and safety meetings (pre-tour, job safety analysis, stand downs), conduct regular emergency drills (e.g. BOP drills) at least weekly
• Maintain accurate documentation: daily drilling reports, material transfers, tour sheets, HSE incident logs, well handover paperwork and lessons‑learned summaries
• Investigate accidents, near-misses, or equipment failures; follow up on corrective actions until closure
• Develop cost-control insights, support cost-benefit or breakeven analysis, and recommend operational improvements to optimize cost and safety
• Coordinate well completion handover processes including liaising with Production department once related operations are complete

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' offshore drilling experience, with at least 5+ years in a supervisory role (company man / wellsite supervisor / drilling supervisor)
• Required: Must have valid IADC or IWCF certification (Well control Level 4), SafeGulf/RigPass, BOSIET, H2S, Medical (USCG or OGUK), TWIC
• Strong technical skills: drilling fluid management, cementing programs, directional/horizontal drilling, HPHT & managed-pressure drilling, drill string design, bit selection, hydraulics, well control, completions analytics and sampling
• Proven leadership and team‑management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal ability, capable of liaising with engineers, contractors, rig staff and support teams
• Data analysis and reporting proficiency, with experience in drilling information systems (e.g. WellView, DIMS) and real‑time monitoring platforms
• Thorough familiarity with HSE risk assessment, emergency response, regulatory compliance (US MMS/BSEE, OHS standards), and environmental protocols
• Willingness to work Night Shift (preferred)
• Must pass Drug Screen and Background/Pre-Employment
• Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship
• Must pass a medical evaluation of fitness to work per Client's standards

Preferred Skills

• Experience in cost control, budgeting, and performance optimization on offshore drilling projects
• Familiarity with digitalization tools, rig automation, and remote/real-time monitoring systems
• Well testing, gravel packing, stimulation experience, and completion handovers
• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Well Engineering, or related discipline from a recognized institution
• Responsible, good team player, and self-directed
• Takes initiative
• Skilled in use of Microsoft Office suite of programs
• Good interpersonal skills
• Effectively interacts in office and field environment

The employee must be certified and meet the medical and health standards to work in offshore environments, including cardiovascular fitness, respiratory proficiency, and overall physical wellness.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee will routinely engage in activities such as sitting, walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. They will be tasked with lifting heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and navigating uneven surfaces for extended periods.

Additionally, the employee should demonstrate manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for using tools, operating machinery, and executing intricate tasks. Furthermore, employee must be able to use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel, or operate standard office equipment. Effective communication, both orally and telephonically, is essential. Successful candidates must exhibit specific vision abilities of close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus
