Responsibilities and Duties
- Review daily agenda of prescheduled calls and plan the day itinerary accordingly.
- Transport patients and/or parcels according to schedule.
- Report problems that may cause a delay in pick-ups immediately to Administrator.
- Maintain designated vehicle in a clean manner inside and outside.
- Must maintain confidentiality of all employees and residents.
- Carry out other responsibilities as assigned.
- Adhere to department customer service, service excellence, and performance standards.
- Demonstrates safe work practices and attitude, follow safety rules, works to prevent unsafe work conditions and behaviors.
- Participates in organizational and departmental safety programs.
- Must be able to operate a wheelchair lift and other assistive devices.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- High School Education or Equivalent.
- Ability to read a map.
- Recent experience in transporting residents, handling wheelchairs and being compassionate.
- Ability to communicate with patients and health care personnel.
- Must be able to lift (over 50 pounds) climb, push, stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch.
- Work outdoors and drive in weather conditions common to the region.
Licenses and Certifications
- Must possess a valid Wisconsin or Illinois Drivers License and be insurable under the liability insurance guidelines.
- Must be CPR certified.
- Must pass a criminal background check
