Responsibilities
Empower AI: As a Network Access Control Support (802.1x/NAC/C2C) Systems Engineer, you will support the Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) on the DoDIN-A Cybersecurity and Network Operations Mission Support (ADCNOMS) contract. Your role involves working with 802.1x, NAC, and C2C frameworks to ensure network endpoints and devices meet DoD and Army security standards before connecting to the network.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Drafting and maintaining enterprise system documentation.
- Conducting Change, Configuration, Release Management (CCRM) activities regularly.
- Creating documentation for emerging technologies or new capabilities.
- Completing vulnerability scans in eMASS using ACAS and SCAP for RMF compliance.
- Developing artifacts such as system functionality, connectivity, data flows, security plans, and configurations to support ATOs.
- Updating the eMASS POA&M for each capability.
- Managing system changes using approved templates and the CMDB.
- Maintaining standard baseline configurations within the ITEF.
- Participating in technical forums and information exchanges.
- Providing enterprise compliance analysis and data visualization support.
- Testing systems, identifying limitations, and recommending improvements.
- Supporting automated software deployment and configuration management.
- Developing and releasing CTO POA&M mitigations to enhance defense measures.
- Creating system-specific KPIs and analysis reports.
- Drafting enterprise system architecture diagrams and maintaining system diagrams such as OV-1, OV-2, SV-1, and SV-2.
- Supporting fielding activities as needed.
- Monitoring incident queues, responding to over 95% of new incidents promptly.
- Generating monthly KPI reports and conducting weekly performance discussions.
- Providing Tier III support during duty hours and call-backs.
- Coordinating with the Global Cyber Center, Regional Cyber Centers, NECs, and other stakeholders to resolve incidents.
- Documenting errors, problems, and solutions during Tier-III operations.
- Seeking government approval before escalating issues to Tier-IV vendors.
- Drafting technical guidance for remediation procedures for Tier-I/Tier-II users.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Secret Security Clearance
- Forescout Certified Administrator (FSCA)
- Network+ or CCNA certification
- Bachelor's degree
- 7–12 years of experience
- Advanced sustaining engineering in applications and technologies related to 802.1x/NAC/C2C
- Basic networking, operating systems, virtualization, and cloud technology knowledge
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and ITIL processes, especially Change, Release, Configuration, Incident, and Problem Management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
- CCNP certification
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
- DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF 632) Systems Developer Advanced qualification or equivalent
- ITIL v4 Foundations certification
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting and standing for extended periods
- Mobility within an office and between buildings
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed
- Travel up to 10% by land or air
