Located along scenic waterfront property in Brooklyn, NY, our Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care has earned a reputation for providing quality and compassionate care through programs and services that support individuals needing short-stay or long-term inpatient care.

Responsibilities
  • Performs preventive maintenance, routine repairs, inspections, testing, and installation tasks on building, grounds, utilities, machinery, and equipment.
  • Performs tasks in other building crafts, including but not limited to plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting on an as-needed basis.
  • Inspects, tests, and troubleshoots machinery and equipment related to buildings and utilities.
  • Records information accurately.
  • Complies with all fire, safety, and infection control policies and procedures set forth by the facility.
  • Reports all hazardous and unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
    • Qualifications
    • High school diploma or Vocational/Technical School graduate.
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in building maintenance.
    • General knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanics.
    • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
    • Working knowledge of general mechanics and basic electricity.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manufacturers' specifications is highly desired.
