The Legislative Coordinator will support legislative initiatives, community outreach, and communication efforts for a New York State Assembly Member. Based in South Ozone Park and Albany, this full-time role includes conducting legislative research, building community partnerships, coordinating events, and managing clear and effective communication with constituents and stakeholders. Additional responsibilities include overseeing the office's communication channels, weekly newsletter, social media, and administrative duties. The role also includes maintaining the legislative bank, managing calendar and meeting requests with the Scheduling Team in Albany, and supervising 1-2 interns annually.
Supervision:
Position Level: Mid-level; prior legislative, community engagement, or communications experience is required.
Work Schedule: A 1-hour mandatory wellness period per shift is included.
