Information System Security Officer - SAIC : Job Details

DescriptionSAIC is hiring an Information Systems Security Officer for the First Army G-2 on Rock Island Arsenal, IL. The ISSO will work closely with the government client in establishing, certifying, and maintaining classified networks in support of FORSCOM's intelligence enterprise.Job Duties:Manage RMF activities in accordance with NIST 800-37, ICD 503 and DoD requirements.Prepare, review and submit Cybersecurity/Information Assurance documentation to include, but not limited to, System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessments, Standard Operating Procedures, Body of Evidence (BoE) documentation, Authority To Connect (ATC) and Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages.Serve as systems administratorReview audit log reports for potential security issuesImage and configure workstationsTrack and assist with any technical issues related to systems or peripheralsRun fiber and CAT5/6 network cablesTroubleshoot computers, cabling, Voice over IP devices, printers, multi-function devices, and video teleconferencing (VTC) equipmentAssist with resolving issues with communications security (COMSEC) devicesHelp unit accredit and maintain Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF)Ensure systems remain operational, compliant, and active on requisite networksPerform scans and apply patchesSet up and operate VTC equipmentSend status reports to Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and Project ManagerCreate and update network diagrams, floor layouts, etc.QualificationsRequired Education and Experience :Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience.Required Security Clearance :Active Top Secret/SCI DoD clearance (US Citizenship required).Required Certification:Qualified at the IAM Level II for the DoD Information Assurance Workforce, must possess one of the following certifications: CompTIA Security+ or higherRequired Skills:Extensive knowledge of NIST and DoD cybersecurity standards, guidelines, best practices, and RMF processes.Desired Skills :Senior level written and verbal communication skillsUnderstanding of Army / Military hierarchyFamiliarity with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000.
