Responsibilities
Arcfield is seeking a Hardware Engineer considered an emerging authority, applying extensive technical expertise. Responsibilities include:
Developing technical solutions to complex problems. Exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches.Evaluating the reliability of materials, properties, and techniques used in production; designing electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, mechanical systems, optical systems, and DSP systems.Analyzing equipment specifications and process requirements to conceive practical designs.Assessing feasibility from technical and economic perspectives.Coordinating with research engineers, scientists, and customer representatives to resolve design issues. Developing and maintaining technical procedures, documentation, and manuals.Compiling and analyzing operational data and conducting tests to establish standards for new designs or modifications.Potentially supervising technicians and technologists providing technical support.Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Familiarity with secure processing technology and experience with secure processing hardware components.
- Research, design, and development experience with ASIC hardware components to enhance performance, security, and usability.
- Knowledge of VHDL and VeriLog, with FPGA experience for emulation.
- Ability under general direction to design and develop equipment, processes, and systems involving data networks, communications, and displays.
- Active SECRET clearance.
- Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years of experience, or Master's with 6-8 years, or PhD with 3-5 years.

This position's compensation range is projected between $109,685.50 and $190,721.80, influenced by factors such as experience, skills, location, education, and certifications.
