Position Title: Grounds Manager

Location: Lake Belle RV Resort, Holly Hill, FL

Reports To: Resort Manager

Position Type: Full-Time

Job Overview:

Lake Belle RV Resort is seeking a skilled and proactive Grounds Manager to ensure the pristine condition and functionality of our resort's exterior areas. This role involves both direct groundskeeping and maintenance duties and managing contractors responsible for additional landscaping and maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate should have solid maintenance skills, be great at interacting with guests, and have strong team abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grounds Maintenance and Oversight:
    • Perform light groundskeeping tasks including spot mowing, trimming, planting, and general upkeep.
    • Oversee and coordinate contractors responsible for additional landscaping and grounds maintenance to ensure all areas meet the resort's high standards.
  • Guest Interaction:
    • Engage with guests in a manner that enhances their experience, providing information about the resort's facilities and services.
    • Address and resolve any guest concerns related to the resort's outdoor areas promptly and professionally.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Regularly inspect outdoor areas to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
    • Maintain adherence to environmental regulations and resort policies regarding waste disposal and chemical usage.
  • Equipment and Supply Management:
    • Oversee the maintenance and proper storage of all resort equipment.
    • Ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are on hand when needed, ordering supplies as necessary while adhering to the budget.
    • Maintain utility hookups at RV sites, overseeing contractors for repairs or upgrades to utilities and utility hookups.
    • Perform light repairs on resort equipment such as golf carts, power pedestals, and grounds maintenance tools.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in grounds management and hands-on maintenance work.
  • Experience managing contractors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to interact positively with guests.
  • Physical ability to perform outdoor maintenance tasks under various weather conditions.
  • High school diploma required; further education or experience in Horticulture, Landscape Design, or a related field is advantageous.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position requiring flexibility for weekends, early mornings, and holidays.
  • Combination of outdoor physical work and supervisory duties.
  • Regular interaction with guests, contractors, and resort staff.
  • We are a clean air resort - There is absolutely no smoking or vaping allowed on the property.
  • Background check and drug tests are mandatory for employment.
