The Connect division operates 10 owned ground station sites around the world, as the Global Manager of the Ground Systems Infrastructure department you will lead 50+ people to operate and maintain the antenna and associated infrastructure at the highest level of availability for many of the most critical space missions in service today.

With a strong and highly versatile global multi-mission ground station network, we provide spacecraft operators with a wide range of services, from turnkey service solutions for satellite monitoring and control and payload data download to hosting of customers' antennas and teleport services from our ground station near Stockholm

YOUR ROLE

As The Global GSI Manager you are responsible for the correct operation of SSC's 10 ground station sites and the planning and procurement of new antenna infrastructure to meet evolving capacity demands. Principle tasks include:

• As part of the SSC Connect Executive Team you provide strong leadership to support 5 regional managers with 50+ staff in 4 different subsidiary companies.
• Meet or exceed customer defined SLAs and internal proficiency targets.
• Manage investment and operational budgets across your teams.
• Ensure antenna infrastructure capacity meets business needs by identifying new sites and capabilities are developed and deliver new antenna infrastructure in good time.
• Drive continuous improvements & efficiencies within the operational teams
• Support bid and proposal efforts with business development teams.
• Responsible for the service delivery for Connect's Hosting Services.

WHO YOU ARE

• A senior manager with at least 10 years of management experience in a multi-national environment familiar with technical operations of antennas and associated infrastructure and networks.
• Familiar with working in senior Executive teams providing strong leadership skills across diverse organizations.
• Comprehensive understanding of the theoretical aspects of the “space-to-ground” operations with at least a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent experience.
• Good understanding of business processes, including budgets, business cases and senior level reporting. MBA or similar qualification useful.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently combined with excellent communication skills.

LOCATION

Our global team has primary office positions in Kiruna SE, Solna SE, Spring House (PA) US, and Santiago CL.

This is a permanent position with 40 hours/week, ideally located in Solna or Spring House (PA), though other SSC office locations can be considered.
