Job Description
Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB) is enhancing its data management capabilities through a robust data architecture program. This role is pivotal in driving these enhancements and ensuring their sustainability. The position requires a strategic approach to managing risk and business enablement priorities from a data perspective, partnering with stakeholders across GCIB and the broader Enterprise to ensure regulatory compliance, strengthen data architecture and privacy frameworks, and enhance operational excellence to achieve GCIB's goal of being best-in-class.
The role covers key data management pillars, including adherence to policies and standards, implementing a balanced data strategy, developing and governing data domains, designing controls, and supporting leadership in informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the Data Strategy & Management Executive (DSME) to design and execute GCIB's data strategy and initiatives roadmap.Translate GCIB's data strategy into actionable plans, oversee their execution, and adapt strategies as needed.Design and implement GCIB's MNPI adherence strategies across all processes and platforms.Document and oversee the data architecture oversight process and related controls.Develop and maintain GCIB's data architecture, ensuring policy compliance.Engage regularly with stakeholders from supporting data domains for review and alignment.Implement and review the golden source structure for deal data and related registry needs.Participate in annual funding cycles for initiatives and regulatory compliance, ensuring data priorities are addressed.Coordinate audits, regulatory exams, and assessments, providing necessary evidence of compliance.Ensure adherence to policies and standards, establishing channels for process review and risk escalation.Build strong relationships across the organization to facilitate consensus, buy-in, and conflict resolution.Lead and develop a high-performing, cross-regional team aligned with BofA's core values and GCIB's goals.Key Requirements
- Experience in a similar role with cross-regional team management.
- 20+ years in strategic risk program governance (preferred).
- Deep understanding of global data issues and regulations.
- Knowledge of GCIB business and products with a strong ownership mindset.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Passion for fostering collaboration and teamwork.
- Independent working skills with broad stakeholder engagement, including regulators and auditors.
- Control-oriented mindset with a solid grasp of regulatory and reputational risks.
