POSITION TITLE: Fundraising & Events OfficerDEPARTMENT: Fundraising and Development DepartmentREPORTS TO: Director of FundraisingCLASSIFICATION: Regular, Full-timeFLSA STATUS: ExemptPosition SummaryThe Fundraising and Events Officer plays a pivotal role in executing CRCC's fundraising strategy by focusing on donor engagement, stewardship, and event management. Reporting to the Associate Director of Fundraising, this position directly supports the organization's revenue generation goals through effective coordination of donor communications, facilitation of fieldwork fundraising initiatives, and oversight of event planning and execution. As an integral member of the Fundraising Team, the Fundraising and Events Officer contributes to the development and management of a comprehensive annual fundraising and events strategy. This includes a specific focus on cultivating individual donors, corporate partners, and prospective supporters. By collaborating with team members, the Fundraising and Events Officer aims to enhance unrestricted revenue streams to achieve organizational objectives and further CRCC's mission.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Management, Donor relations, and Prospect Development:
- Assist in cultivating relationships with donors, sponsors, vendors and community partners.
- Strengthen commitment of current donors and prospective donors through the development of customized stewardship plans.
- Offer and implement creative and new ideas for connecting with donors
- Manage a portfolio of current donors, focusing on those with the potential to increase their giving to the Major Gifts level.
- Work collaboratively with the Assoc. Dir. of Fundraising to build and maintain pipeline of donors focusing on $1,000 and above contributors.
- Lead and manage CRCC's Major Giving Programs including cultivating relationships through meetings, calls and interactions to deepen connections between donor interests and CRCC's mission.
- Conduct research on prospective donors and identify opportunities that align with CRCC's mission
- Suggest and implement innovative strategies to increase awareness among donors and
- prospects.
- Manage donor communications, including solicitations, stewardship mailings, acknowledgement letters and other projects.
- Utilize the CRM system (Little Green Light) to execute and track a comprehensive moves management strategy.
Fund Development:
- Operationalize annual fund strategies.
- Support fieldwork fundraising efforts, including outreach to potential donors and sponsorship solicitation.
- Collaborate with the Associate Director to identify opportunities for donor engagement and retention.
- Collaborate with the Associate Director to identify, create, and implement new strategies to grow annual fund revenue
- Help establish performance measures, monitor results and evaluate efficacy of the annual fund program
- Keep abreast of developments in philanthropy and fund development
Events:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events, including logistics, budgeting, and vendor management.
- Strategize and implement additional event recommendations to reach new audiences
- Develop event collateral, in conjunction with leadership
- Serve as a liaison to external vendors
- Ensure adherence to budgets and timelines, including benchmarks and reporting
Marketing and Communications:
- Work collaboratively with the fundraising team to create compelling event invitations, promotional materials, and donor communication.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance visibility and attendance for fundraising events
Administrative Duties:
- Serve as a primary administrator of the CRM system (Little Green Light) responsible for management and maintenance of the database integrity of data and donor records.
- Ensure timely gift entry/acknowledgement process and accuracy of constituent records; manage ticketing, seating and event sponsorship invoices and thank you letters
- Track and report on data as needed
- Provide and implement best practices for gift processing/acknowledgment procedures
- Special projects as needed to support Fundraising team.
- Ad hoc reporting as needed.

Education, Experience, Licenses, Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, event management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years demonstrated nonprofit fundraising/individual giving and/or event planning experience with a proven record of accomplishment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- May consider an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training to meet the essential functions of the position

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to multi-task and organize for maximum efficiency
- Professional demeanor and ability to communicate with wide range of audiences, including clients, donors, public officials, and executives
- Innovative, passionate, and professional individual
- Demonstrated understanding of the philanthropic landscape of Northeast Ohio, or equivalent
- Possess basic knowledge to provide information, referral or crisis assistance
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and any donor management software
- Ability to use electronic database/s and videoconferencing tools (e.g. Zoom, MS Teams)

- Mental Demands that may be an inherent part of one's position at CRCC
- Hearing and processing stories of sexual violence from survivors of various ages
- Understanding the symptoms of vicarious trauma and knowing how to minimize its impact
- Using supervision to appropriately process feelings of burnout, countertransference, and vicarious trauma
SCHEDULE/LOCATION
- In order to meet the needs of CRCC, this position requires work to be performed at any of CRCC locations and at locations within the community
- Work is performed onsite at a CRCC location as required, and may be performed remotely (i.e. at home) the balance of the time with supervisor approval
- Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. In addition, the incumbent may be required to work outside of normal working hours/days
