Role Overview

The FP&A Resolution and Recovery Planning Sr. Analyst is a strategic professional who stays informed about developments within their field and contributes to strategic planning by applying their knowledge to their role and the business. They are recognized as a technical authority in their area, requiring basic commercial awareness. The role involves significant impact through complex deliverables, providing advice on technology or operations, and influencing various stakeholders within the organization. This position is within the Balance Sheet Recovery and Resolution Planning team.

Core Responsibilities
  • Support forecasting processes for Recovery and Resolution Planning, including base and stress scenarios.
  • Enhance the Resolution Planning balance sheet forecasting capability.
  • Develop methodologies and projection models for balance sheet and PPNR.
  • Execute on balance sheet for annual regulatory submissions.
  • Contribute to Resolution Plan narratives.
General Responsibilities
  • Contribute to governance related to funding, investment, and balance sheet analytics.
  • Participate in managing liquidity, interest rate risk, capital structure, and rating agency relationships.
  • Engage in capital markets activities, including commercial paper and securitization, and oversee liquidity and transfer pricing risks.
  • Perform analytical work and collaborate across teams to resolve business inquiries, owning the implementation and execution of solutions.
  • Prioritize projects, define platform direction, and plan for future strategic initiatives.
  • Interact with various levels within the organization across Risk and Finance processes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Assess risks in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and maintaining ethical standards.
Qualifications and SkillsRequired
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to design strategic solutions and processes.
  • Proficiency with analysis tools (Excel, Access, SQL).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and interact with management at all levels.
  • Proficiency with reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau.
Preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in financial services.
  • Knowledge of Recovery and Resolution Planning regulations.
  • Experience with stress testing (e.g., CCAR).
  • Experience with modeling and model lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of Investment Bank Balance Sheet and P&L.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and double-entry accounting.
  • Ability to code in Python.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree, with a potential Master's degree.
