This is a field position covering these general areas in Long Island; Hempstead, North Hempstead, Oyster Bay, Babylon, Brookhaven, East Hampton, Huntington, Islip, Riverhead, Shelter Island, Smithtown, Southampton, and Southold. Job Summary: The Field QA Inspector reinspects property claims after an initial field adjuster's visit. The role focuses on identifying discrepancies in estimates, and ensuring accuracy. Additionally, the inspector provides feedback to third-party administrator (TPA) partners to maintain consistency and quality in claim evaluations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Reinspect property claims following an initial field adjuster's visit to ensure estimates align with company standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Review and assess field adjuster estimates for any discrepancies, and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to TPA partners to ensure adjustments are accurate and meet client expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including claims, quality control, and compliance, to resolve issues and enhance the overall claims process.
  • Ensure all reinspection's are documented thoroughly, and track the status of claims in real-time, providing updates to leadership as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, company policies, and safety regulations during the reinspection process.
  • Maintain organized records of reinspection's, reports, and other documentation, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience in claims management, property inspections, re-inspections or quality assurance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in property claims, field adjusting, or a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of property claims processes, estimating procedures, and underwriting guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy in claims assessments.
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, experience providing feedback and guidance to external partners.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze complex situations and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency with Xactimate.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to property sites as required for re-inspections.
  • Ability to safely use a ladder to access policyholder roofs.
