About the RoleAs the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Cardiovascular Services, you will oversee and coordinate all clinical services related to cardiology care for CIS. This key leadership role is critical for ensuring that our cardiology and cath lab operations deliver exceptional patient care, improved outcomes, and cost-effective services. You will serve as a strategic liaison with hospital partners, guide clinical staff, monitor quality and compliance initiatives, and provide vital data and recommendations to senior leadership. This position requires travel to multiple locations within and outside of LA and MS.How You'll Drive Our Mission Forward
- Act as a liaison between CIS and cardiology-related hospital departments, nursing services, case management, cath lab, medical records, and other stakeholders to build strong, collaborative relationships that enhance patient care.
- Partner with hospital leadership to collect, analyze, and report on data related to co-management agreements; recommend policy and procedural changes to ensure compliance and improved services.
- Work closely with staff cardiologists and clinical teams to ensure optimal patient care, achievement of benchmark data points, and consistent quality standards.
- Oversee the management, supervision, and quality of imaging and cath lab services across CIS, ensuring appropriate staffing, staff education, and quality patient care.
- Lead and support nursing, diagnostic, and cath lab teams through training, supervision, and ongoing education initiatives.
- Monitor and report on patient satisfaction and pay-for-performance metrics; ensure adherence to hospital core measures and compliance regulations, including HIPAA privacy and security standards.
- Contribute to strategic planning and the evaluation of new hospital partnerships; analyze hospital contract performance and present findings to cardiology committees.
- Oversee staffing levels, participate in budget planning, and provide recommendations on pay structures to ensure competitiveness and fiscal responsibility.
- Support the development and implementation of the enterprise-wide electronic health record (EHR) and ensure proper documentation by imaging and cath lab staff.
- Actively recruit, orient, and train clinical team members for CIS and partner hospitals; serve as a reliable resource for managers, providers, and partner practices.
What Makes You a Great Match
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing or an allied health field required; MBA/MHA or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in cardiology and cath lab operations is critical.
- Strong ability to learn and use computerized data processing, healthcare financial tracking, and research techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop and present clear, data-driven recommendations and reports to senior leadership and hospital committees.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing clinical staff and fostering strong, collaborative relationships across departments and partner organizations.
- Willingness and ability to travel to multiple sites within and outside of Alabama as needed to fulfill role responsibilities.
