GENERAL FUNCTION:

Coverage of private equity firms and alternative asset managers investing in the TMT sector. Focus on building relationships with key decision makers to lead M&A advisory, leveraged finance, and other commercial banking engagements. Develop strategies for over 30 sponsor clients with sector-oriented deal partners, capital markets professionals, and senior management. Originate and oversee high-value financing transactions for portfolio companies. Collaborate with sector teams and product partners across capital markets and commercial banking.

Risk Responsibility:

Accountable for risk management by adhering to policies, raising concerns, and ensuring positive customer experiences. Operate within the bank's risk appetite, identifying and managing risks effectively.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage relationships with over 30 financial sponsor clients in the TMT sector.
• Position Fifth Third Bank as a trusted advisor with key clients.
• Partner with industry coverage and product bankers to execute high-value M&A and financing transactions.
• Generate revenue across capital markets and banking, including M&A advisory, leveraged finance, and treasury management.
• Lead teams in transaction origination and execution.
• Engage with the broader Financial Sponsors Group to promote best practices.
• Maintain CRM systems and prioritize client interactions.
• Travel and meet clients regularly to foster relationships.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervise junior staff and provide performance feedback. Develop employees and provide growth opportunities.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 15+ years experience with private equity, investment banking, M&A, or capital raising.
• Proven client relationship development and deal origination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deal teams across product capabilities.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client presence.
• Experience developing analysts and associates.
• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred (MBA or JD).
• FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses required.
