The Role
As the Executive Director of Revenue Strategy and Portfolio Performance, you will leverage your analytical and strategic skills to optimize hotel revenue streams, maximize profits, and enhance guest satisfaction across your portfolio.
This position offers the flexibility to work remotely from your home office in Charleston, SC, with occasional travel to properties as required. You will play a key role in revenue strategy development, market expansion, and building strong relationships with ownership to influence strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive total hotel profit through disciplined decision-making and risk management.
- Lead strategic planning and collaborate with hotel teams to identify profit opportunities across all revenue streams.
- Conduct weekly strategy meetings, analyze sales trends, and develop action plans to maximize RevPAR.
- Support sales teams in pricing strategies and displacement analysis for profitability.
- Communicate a compelling vision for total hotel profit optimization to property leaders.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of revenue reports and financial statements.
- Utilize revenue management analytics, tools, and technology to optimize profits.
- Create accurate short- and long-term forecasts and participate in annual budgeting.
- Manage booking channels, pricing strategies, and inventory to maximize revenue.
- Oversee relationships with distribution partners and optimize channel performance.
- Lead initiatives for incremental revenue through upselling and marketing efforts.
- System ownership for RMS, PMS, CRS, and related platforms, ensuring data integrity and system hygiene.
- Coordinate content updates across electronic channels with marketing teams.
- Motivate, develop, and lead revenue management and analysis teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hotel revenue management experience, including at least 3 years in multi-unit or resort settings, with proven profit optimization strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in economics, business, hospitality management, or related field.
- Expertise in RMS, PMS, CRS, channel management tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Leadership skills with a focus on team development and relationship building.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
- Valid driver's license required.
