The Department of Social Services (DSS) includes the NYC Human Resources Administration (HRA) and the Department of Homeless Services (DHS). HRA fights poverty through benefits like Food Assistance and Emergency Rental Assistance. DHS addresses homelessness with innovative strategies to help families and individuals exit shelters and regain self-sufficiency.

HRA's General Support Services (GSS) manages facilities, including planning, design, maintenance, safety, lease management, and emergency preparedness. GSS also oversees Printing and Distribution Services, seeking a Distribution Services Manager to function as the Director of Distribution Services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop relationships with DSS/HRA/DHS leadership to understand distribution needs, align strategies, and prioritize client notices and documents.
  • Streamline operations, services, workflows, systems, and reports to ensure cost-effective distribution aligned with program needs.
  • Monitor activities, ensuring quality, quantity, and milestone standards are met.
  • Coordinate across departments to resolve operational issues and meet distribution deadlines.
  • Communicate regularly with leadership about distribution status and strategies.
  • Support technical needs, operate equipment, and train staff on procedures.
  • Evaluate staff performance and ensure high standards.
  • Location:

    4 World Trade Center, 30th Floor, NYC.

    Hours:

    Managerial Flex Schedule.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Five years of full-time technical printing experience, including supervisory experience, or
    • Equivalent education/experience with supervisory background.
    Preferred Skills:
    • Leadership, communication, operational, and technical skills; experience with mail room functions and equipment; partnership building; staff training; strategic planning; business acumen; organizational skills.

    Salary Range:

    $66,066.00 – $120,000.00
