Job Description

We have one position focused on Data Protection, hiring at Lead or Expert level based on qualifications. This role is fully remote in the US.

The Cyber Recovery Infrastructure SRE manages and operates the Allstate Cyber Recovery Environment, supporting critical business functions during system outages. Responsibilities include system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of data protection systems related to Cyber Attack Resiliency.

The Data Protection-focused SRE collaborates with other SREs and infrastructure engineers to support and test Cyber Recovery Environment platforms and assets.

Accountabilities

• Build relationships within the team and across peers, fostering safety, innovation, and honest communication.
• Define and execute platform strategy aligned with enterprise goals.
• Coordinate with decision-makers to develop cost-effective technology solutions.
• Drive quality, availability, and effectiveness improvements in business activities.
• Automate and improve cyber recovery processes.
• Influence stakeholders to meet cyber resiliency goals.
• Set expectations and deepen organizational relationships regarding Cyber Recovery.
• Communicate effectively at multiple levels.

Education

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Required Experience

• 5+ years managing computing platforms.
• Experience in dispersed team environments.
• Experience with enterprise IT infrastructure including Network, Security, Storage, Compute.

Preferred Experience

• Cyber Resiliency and Recovery capabilities.
• Data protection technologies like Rubrik, Oracle's Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance.
• On-prem and Cloud infrastructures, including Azure and AWS.
• Basic network and security infrastructure knowledge.
• Virtual compute infrastructure management.
• Automation of infrastructure delivery (IaaS).
• Experience with data protection in data centers and cloud, and creating recovery playbooks.

Skills & Compensation

Salary: $112,000 - $196,750 annually, based on experience. Candidates must pass a background check. No visa sponsorship available. Compliance with local employment laws is observed.
