Position Description:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for research, design, development, testing,installation and modification of operational machinery, electrical controlequipment, electrical circuitry, and components.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Evaluates control systems, products, components, andapplications. Evaluates new manufacturing and control technologies, adaptinginto specifications as appropriate. Confirms control system functionality,including appropriate safety compliance, by designing and/or executing testprocedures. Prepares and/or reviews electrical, hydraulic, and pneumaticcontrols drawings; collaborates with related engineering teams to evaluatecomponents, materials, and suppliers. Ensures integrity of process and builddata collection. Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, IT,Safety and Operations to ensure that all equipment and processes are properlydesigned, implemented, and launched. Keeps equipment operating by performing periodicaudits; troubleshooting breakdowns; requesting supplies; defining and reviewingpreventive maintenance plans; calling for repairs; and implementing processimprovements. Assist maintenance in troubleshooting equipment and trainengineering techs and maintenance techs on new equipment installations.Maintains project documents using approved methodology, tools, and templates.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors Degree in relevant Engineering or technicaltraining equivalent. 2+ years of experience with manufacturing processes andequipment interaction (including internships or other educational programs).Can interact with machinery through HMI or laptop connection. Able to read andinterpret mechanical and electrical prints and schematics. Experience withvision systems. Experience in Allen Bradley PLCs, Servo Controllers, HMIproducts, and software. Familiarity with basic electronics and embedded systemprogramming. Knowledge of Fanuc robots recovery and teaching points on ateach pendant. Troubleshoot, read, and edit PLC logic and CNC programs.

Skills Required

Experience with vision systems.

Experience in Allen Bradley PLCs, Servo Controllers, HMIproducts, and software.

Familiarity with basic electronics and embedded systemprogramming.

Knowledge of Fanuc robots recovery and teaching pointson a teach pendant.

Troubleshoot, read, and edit PLC logic and CNC programs.

Experience Required:

2+ years of experience with manufacturing processes andequipment interaction (including internships or other educational programs).
