This is a full-time on-site role for a Corporate Controller at Platinum Storage Group located in Newport Beach, CA. This is a hands-on role and encompasses a wide variety of responsibilities including but not limited to overseeing accounting staff, preparing internal and external financial statements and reports, managing month-end and year-end reporting, communicating with owners (TIC) & investors. This position focuses on P&L, budgeting, forecasting and analysis.Essential FunctionsLead all day-to-day operations and supervise a team of staff members including functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payrollMonthly financial review for all properties and have monthly meetings with field personnelReview all monthly distributions for third party propertiesPrepare and provide all financial data required by lenders for new financing as well as monthly and annual debt covenant complianceLiaison with third party investors regarding all financial questions and distribution of reports and K-1'sResponsible with on-boarding and off- boarding of properties (owned and managed)Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior management abreast of financial statusCoordinate corporate and property tax returns with owners and third-party accounting firmsMaintain accounting policies and procedures and internal controls surrounding accounting functionsMonitor cash positions & funding needsAssist with debt financingCoordinate software integration with all third-party vendors (Yardi, Tenant Information System, Payroll Processing Software, Ramp)Treasury functionsEnsure that the systems and procedures in place to conduct an audit if requiredAssist the VP of Operations with the annual budgeting and planning processServe as backup for payroll processingOther FunctionsCoach and provide training opportunities for staff development including managing accounts payable and property accountantsContribute to a positive work environmentOther duties as assignedRequirements Active CPA certification, preferredBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldMinimum Five (5) years of experience in multi-unit accounting, in real estate preferredKnowledge of GAAP accrual accountingProficiency in Microsoft applications requiredStrong understanding of financial regulations and complianceExcellent analytical, problem-solving and prioritization skillsStrong communication and leadership abilitiesPossesses finesse and discretion for responding to sensitive inquiries or complaintsAbility to protect organizations' value by keeping information confidentialCommunicate effectively in English, both written & verbally#J-18808-Ljbffr
