Salary: $74,880/year + Union Benefits

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Full-time position

Description

We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Building Engineer to oversee operations in a prestigious 10-story commercial property located near Yankee Stadium, directly across from the courthouse. This is a high-profile site catering to upscale tenants and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations, maintenance, and repairs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems
• Schedule and execute preventative maintenance and inspections
• Respond to emergencies promptly and resolve tenant service requests efficiently
• Coordinate and supervise contractors as needed
• Manage supply inventory and assist with budgeting
• Lead and schedule building staff while ensuring high performance and accountability

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of building operations and systems maintenance experience
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
• Proven leadership and communication skills
• Ability to read blueprints and manage multiple priorities
• High School Diploma or GED required

Certificates Required:

• FDNY Certificates: F89 (on-site after hiring), S13, and P99

Physical Requirements:

• Available for 24/7 on-call support
• Able to lift 50 lbs. and climb ladders
