Working together as a team, the Disassembly Technician assists the Repair Planner in writing a complete estimate for repairs.This is a full-time opportunity that works during the 8:00 am - 5:00 pm time frame, Monday through Friday. The Disassemble Technician will report to the Collision Center Manager and pay will commensurate with the chosen candidate's experience.Essential Job FunctionsPre-scanning of vehicle Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical/hydraulic window operating equipment, body panels, trim, and any other parts needed Micro bagging of all hardware and small partsBuilding and organization of parts cart according to company standardsTaking photos of complex wire routing, component assembly, and trim/emblem locationAny other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)Minimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentUnderstanding of automobiles is requiredAt least 1 year of body shop experience preferredProper tooling for the disassembly of vehicles Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background checkCharacteristics SoughtGreat attention to detailEffective communicationWillingness to learnAbility to thrive in a fast paced and ever changing environmentPhysical RequirementsPeriodic lifting and carrying objects over 50 poundsReaching above and below shoulder levelExtended periods of kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping to complete or inspect repairsManual dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate equipmentMay be exposed to repetitive tasks involving hand and arm motionMay be exposed to fumes, chemicals, high levels of dust and noise in repair centerDisclaimer:The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
