Assistant Project Manager

Job Description Summary

Responsible for assisting the Project Manager in overseeing and delivering projects at client sites, campuses, and facilities, ensuring they meet client requirements and goals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day general office tasks supporting projects.
  • Assist in gathering and maintaining current project documentation.
  • Coordinate with project managers to gather and update project reports.
  • Obtain and track budgeting and contracting information from project managers.
  • Assist with managing all project phases, including planning, design, construction, FF&E, technology, and occupancy.
  • Compile project budgets and schedules.
  • Review and understand project documents such as agreements, budgets, schedules, and drawings.
  • Maintain client focus through performance goals, deliverables, reports, and value-added services.
  • Review design documents and scope of construction; prepare preliminary construction budgets.
  • Prepare project status reports, process purchase orders, and update tracking reports.
  • Manage general contractors, vendors, and engineers.
  • Ensure all project participants understand goals, constraints, and deliverables.
  • Provide excellent client service to internal and external clients.
  • Possibly own smaller, less complex projects.
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
    • 3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Ability to prepare and track project budgets and schedules.
    • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Familiarity with architectural, furniture, and space planning concepts.
    • Ability to develop business relationships with clients.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
