Minimum Education and Experience
JOB REQUIREMENTS :PhD required. Knowledge, skills and abilities include but are not limited to developing a strong independent research program. In addition, it is expected that the incumbent will participate in conferences, symposia, and other activities supporting research as well as participate in graduate education. It is expected that a substantial extramurally funded research program will be maintained at New Jersey Medical School.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. (List Essential Duty Responsibility Statements.)1. Develop a strong independent, externally funded research program at NJMS .2. Collaborate with colleagues on multi-PI grants.3. Participate in conferences, symposia, and other activities supporting research and scholarship.4. Participate in graduate education.5. Prepare and publish scientific manuscripts in high-impact journals.6. Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Rutgers' regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as theychange or are modified.7. Understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Codeof Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.8. Performs other related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing. No special vision requirements. Must be able to lift or exert force up to ten (10) pounds. Investigator will have a private office located near their designated laboratory.WORK ENVIRONMENT :Laboratory environment. Moderate noise.
