If you're ready to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic firm, we invite you to apply and be part of our journey in creating extraordinary spaces.What You Bring To The TableA Bachelor's or advanced degree in your discipline from an accredited institution and have at least twelve (12) years of related work experience with at least five (5) in a Project Manager role – or an equivalent combination of education and experienceProfessional Licensure (RA)A masterful understanding of the foundational principles of your disciplineA passion for business development, aligning with our Community & Culture Practice strategic growth plan and expanding our existing client base regionallyAn ability to manage complexity with a track record of providing quality designs for a wide range of project typesIn-depth knowledge of construction processes, plans and specifications, as well as their application and relevance to public works and construction projectsProficiency in technical writing as well as verbal communicationA strong ability to prioritize and juggle critical tasks, seeing them through to completion while maintaining high design standards and adhering to established project timelinesCORE DUTIESCreate, maintain and nurture external client relationships. You are responsible for business development, marketing, contract development, design production, and construction administration efforts as neededDevelop new client relationships and work proactively to enhance existing partnerships.Coordinate marketing efforts within your practice area, geography, and among other leaders including networking, conferences, research, relationships, opportunities, pursuits (proposals), generation of revenue, and business development action plan to develop client relationships, win work, and fill the pipeline.Attend and help represent CPL at conferences and events that align with the Practice's strategic planPotentially drive lines of business within the Practice by developing expertise into new project typologiesKeep abreast of new technological or scientific methods and developments affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changesDevelop, maintain, and learn from colleague and National Practice Leader interaction, communication is two-wayDevelop and employ tracking and measurements that are indicators of business healthExecute work by managing the work of others, providing direction and removing obstacles:Oversee project schedule, budget and aspects of concurrent design and construction projectsPerform quality assurance/control on other's work, verifying methodologies, calculations, outcomes, etc.Attend, participate in and lead client vision sessionsDevelop project scopes and objectives and coordinate all efforts – administrative and technical – to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projectsAdvocates for sustainable approaches to design solutionsProvide management of internal finances, which include billing, invoice generation and asset/resource allocationEnsure appropriate resources are allocated throughout the organization to deliver a high-quality client experienceSupervisory requirements, including recruitment and retention of talent including:Engage and foster the growth of CPL team members: provide encouragement and regular feedback; and serve as a mentor/example for all levels of the teamManage/oversee career conversations with your team on an established schedule (annual career conversations, regular check-ins, and the development of career plans for each team member)Develop future leaders within the organization (train your replacement)Engage, motivate, and lead internal and external stakeholders to develop strategies and plans to move the organization in the desired direction.Influence people through effective communicationPromote justice, diversity and fairness in the organizationCreate, maintain and nurture external client relationships. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by New York Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employees already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law.
