QualificationsOur client is not looking for a senior resource – someone who has a solid 3 years of experience supporting applications with backend SQL database. A SQL DBA with some development experience in SSRS would also be acceptable along with Access and VBA Macro experience.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.3 - 5 years applicable experience in production application development and/or application supportExpertise and experience in legacy applications such as Microsoft Access and Excel VBA MacrosExperience with SQL Server 2012Expertise and experience in the following application platforms: VB.net, SSIS, SSRS, Visual StudiosExpertise and experience in TSQL, SQL stored procedures and viewsPassionate about solving problemsDedicated to continuous learning and professional developmentUnderstands the workflow and process requirements of complex application systemsExcellent problem solving/analytical skills and knowledge of analytical toolsStrong customer services and problem solving skillsAbility to provide outstanding customer service, be a good listener and work well with othersSelf-motivated, able to work independently, and takes initiativeAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated ability to work successfully with a diverse group of customersAbility to learn new content areas and new skills quickly and well requiredResponsibilities include:Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve application support tickets submitted through an Incident Management systemGain a solid understanding of software and hardware used and supportedProvide application production support for ad hoc requests requiring coding and development – design, test, debug, implement, and document programs.Provide routine application monitoring and maintenanceMonitor assigned software applications, document and analyze problemsEstablish and maintain user and administrator accountsMaintain system documentationProvide advice and training to end-users as requiredUnderstand and support all system interfaces for assigned applicationsEnable best practices and implement where appropriateCollaborate with server administrators and database administrators to ensure proper integration of the environmentWork closely with business and vendor to tune and troubleshoot applicationsProvides second level of technical support for all corporate systems and software components as assignedProvide Level 3 support for the application. Must be able to support 24 x 7.Leads and participates in efforts to develop and implement process improvements and automation for application and system monitoringLeads and participates in efforts to implement application updates to include upgrades, patches, and new releasesDevelop work plans and track/report status of assigned projects/tasksLiaise with vendor support on all issues
