In the role of Alaska Power Market Sector Leader, we'll count on you to:
Have a focus on client management and development, serving as a client manager and project manager for future assignments and pursuits with key clients in the areaIdentify and develop project opportunities, serve as a pursuit champion, and act as a resource for HDR pursuitsPlan, direct, and monitor all aspects of large multi-disciplinary projects or medium-sized projects with a high degree of technical complexityAssess the marketplace and determine the best business approach to win and secure contractsCollaborate with other market sectors and business groupsServe as the Client Manager for key clients within the region, and be active and visible in the industryPromote the marketing and delivery of HDR services to clients alongside our client managersWork with Business Group Managers on developing and delivering market sector initiativesDrive client development and pursuit processes based on proven capture techniquesSupport pursuits through relationship development and strategic planningParticipate in industry associations and serve as a role model in business and community organizationsIdentify key investments to maintain or enhance HDR's industry leadershipDevelop relationships with industry counterparts and senior client leadersEnhance practices to improve market competitiveness and staff developmentLead recruitment efforts for future market sector employeesCoordinate work-sharing among departments and support technical excellenceIdentify needs for new technical services and productsCoordinate staffing and recruiting plans for key hiresSupport talent management and resource planningAssist in project delivery, monitor profit and loss, and support QA/QC programsFacilitate cooperation and remove barriers to successMonitor performance indicators and implement process improvementsManage staff workload and promote effective resource useAssist with contract reviews and risk managementPromote quality assurance and technical expertiseDisseminate lessons learned and take on project management assignments as appropriatePreferred Qualifications
- Experience with Alaska power projects

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, planning, or a related field
- At least 10 years of industry experience
- Experience in strategic marketing and client relationship management
- Experience in staff development and industry engagement
- Ability to collaborate with various leadership roles
