Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Develop andmaintain a positive relationship with each individual Resident to effectivelyencourage the continued social and physical well-being for them.
- Plan, organize,and implement an innovative program of activities to meet the social,intellectual, and education interest of the Residents.
- Incorporatelife enrichment programs to enhance the daily life of the Residents.
- Facilitatediscussions and group events.
- Responsible forleading all activities and events.
- Responsible forall aspects of the preparation and execution of events and activities,including the setup and take down for programs, events, parties, and meetings.
- Providesassistance before, during, and after Resident outings.
- Communicatedaily with Residents and Location management regarding life enrichment programsand events.
- Create monthly Residentactivities calendar, distribute activity calendars, and maintain records ofactivities, events, and programs.
- Maintainawareness of items or issues which may negatively impact Resident safety.
- Ensureadherence to Location policies and procedures.
- Performs allother duties as assigned.
Community Volunteers - Develop community volunteers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with volunteers andoversee transportation functions.
- Assist in supporting volunteers with programs and events, asdirected.
Financial - Operate life enrichment program within budget.
Professional Development - Maintains industry knowledge by attending educationalworkshops or classes; reviewing related publications, establishing networks.Maintain necessary education classes to keep Alabama Assisted LivingAdministrator license current, if applicable.
- Attends in-service training.
Physical Work Environment: Must be able to lift or carry upto 50 pounds occasionally and to exert 20 pounds of force frequently. Physicalactivity involves sitting, walking, standing, carrying, bending, lifting,crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, andrepetitive motions.
